Australian Stuart Appleby has a one-stroke lead over world number one Tiger Woods and England's Justin Rose headed into the final round of the Masters golf tournament in Augusta, Georgia.

Appleby shot a one-over-par 73 Saturday in his third round and is two-over-par 218 for the tournament. Woods had an even par 72 while Rose shot a three-over-par 75 to tie Woods at three-over par for the tournament (219).

Ireland's Padraig Harrington, American Zach Johnson and Augusta, Georgia native Vaughn Taylor are tied for fourth place at four-over-par (220). Harrington shot a three-over-par 75 Saturday while Johnson had a four-over-par 76 and Taylor fired a five-over-par 77.

Welshman Bradley Dredge is in seventh place at five over par, while defending champion Phil Mickelson of the United States is part of a group of players tied at six-over-par (222).

The fourth and final round takes place Sunday.
