American Mark Calcavecchia has a five-stroke lead heading into Saturday's third round of the Canadian Open golf tournament in the western city of Vancouver, British Columbia.

Calcavecchia fired three birdies on the first nine holes to card a second round 3-under-par, 67 Friday. He maintained his first round lead with a 36-hole total of 132, 8-under.

American Lucas Glover is at 137 after firing a 2-over-par, 72.

Five golfers are six shots off the lead at 138.

World number two golfer, Vijay Sing of Fiji, is among seven players another shot back at 139.
