World number three golfer Ernie Els of South Africa has a two-stroke lead over Denmark's Thomas Bjorn after the third round of the American Express Golf Championships in Ireland.

Els fired a 4-under-par, 68 in the third round and is 15-under-par, 201 for three rounds. Bjorn shot a 6-under-par, 66 in his third round and moved into second place at 13-under-par, 203.

British Open winner Todd Hamilton of the United States, Padraig Harrington of Ireland and David Howell of England are tied for third place at 12- under-par, 204.

U.S. Open champion Retief Goosen of South Africa is in sixth place at 11- under-par, 205. World number two Tiger Woods of the United States is in a tie for eighth, seven strokes off the lead.
