Former Wimbledon champion Goran Ivanisevic of Croatia leads a pack of players who have dropped out of the upcoming Wimbledon Tennis Championships because of injuries.

Ivanisevic will be missing the legendary grass-court event for the second straight year after suffering a knee injury during practice last week.

Russian player Anna Kournikova is the latest to join Ivanisevic on the sidelines, after failing to recover from the back injury which prevented her from playing in the two warm-up events she had entered.

Other high profile players withdrawing from Wimbledon include Tommy Haas of Germany, who needs more time to recover from a shoulder injury, American Monica Seles who has a recurring foot injury, and former Australian Open champion Thomas Johansson of Sweden, who is recovering from a knee injury.
