Spanish cyclist Eladio Jimenez has won the 14th stage of the Tour of Spain, but Russian Denis Menchov remains the overall leader.

Jimenez finished the 172.3 kilometer ride (from Nestlé to La Penilla - Lagos de Covadonga) in four hours, 25 minutes, 36 seconds. Countryman Iñigo Cuesta finished second, one minute 20 seconds back. Italian Gilberto Simoni was third, one minute, 32 seconds behind the winner.

Menchov finished fifth in the stage and retained the overall lead over Spaniard Roberto Heras. Carlos Sastre of Spain is third overall, one minute, 50 seconds behind Menchov.

Sunday's 15th stage covers 191 kilometers (from Cangas de Onís to Estación de Esquí Valgrande / Pajares). The race ends September 18 in Madrid.
