Post-election Kenya has been riddled with insecurity and violence. Scores of people are dead and tens of thousands have been displaced, some of them beyond reach of immediate assistance.
Anthony Mwangi is Public Relations Manager of Kenya Red Cross. He told VOA reporter, Akwei Thompson it?s rather unfortunate that a peaceful country like Kenya could slide into such unprecedented state of violence.
?We know that over 100,000 people are currently displaced in various parts of the country. There are a number of people who have died, there are a number of people who have been injured.?
He said the violence is indiscriminate.

Mwangi explained that the Red Cross has overcome initial challenges posed by the magnitude of the violence.
