Michaella Krajicek of the Netherlands has easily won the final of the women's Hobart International tennis tournament in Australia.

The unseeded Krajicek broke the serve of fifth-seeded Czech Iveta Benesova five times en route to a 6-2, 6-1 victory. Krajicek called it one of the best matches of her career, while Benesova apologized to the crowd for her lackluster performance.

Benesova later said four tough matches in the tournament's opening rounds had taken their toll on her.

Krajicek celebrates this tournament win the same week she celebrated her 17th birthday. She is the half sister of 1996 Wimbledon champion Richard Krajicek and she credits him with helping her tennis game during the last year.
