Kyrgyzstan's speaker of parliament has resigned after telling the president to go hang himself.

Speaker Omurbek Tekebayev resubmitted his resignation to parliament Monday for the second time.

Parliament rejected the resignation earlier this month but approved the speaker's motion  Monday.

Tekebayev's comments were the latest attack in an ongoing dispute with President Kurmanbek Bakiyev.  Mr. Bakiyev had accused Tekebayev of blocking crucial economic reforms, while Tekebayev had complained about security in the country.
