John Mills
British stage and screen actor John Mills has died at his home in Denham, west of London, after a short illness. He was 97-years-old.

The Oscar award winning actor starred in more than 100 films including Ryan's Daughter  for which he won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in 1971. His other film credits include War and Peace, Great Expectations and Around the World in Eighty Days.

Mills' acting career began in the theater, where he appeared in such plays as Goodbye Mr. Chips and Of Mice and Men.
