New Zealand's cricket team has scored 25 for 1 in its second innings on the third day of a four-day match against the Australian Queensland Academy in Brisbane.

The Kiwis declared their first innings at 297 for 8 and the QAS answered with 267 for 7. James Hopes scored 75 for the Queensland team while Daniel Payne added another 57 runs for the hosts. New Zealand seam bowler Dion Nash made a respectable return from injury with two for 36.

The second day of the four-day match was washed out by rain Wednesday.
