Russian President Vladimir Putin unveiled his new, renovated Web site in Moscow Thursday. Russian media quote Mr. Putin as saying that even though he is not a frequent Internet user, he feels the Web site is important, because it informs people about his activities.

The Web site,, has 10,000 pages divided into five sections: President, Institutions, Priorities, The Kremlin and Events.

The developers of the Web site were chosen in a contest. When unveiling the site, Mr. Putin suggested a few immediate additions, including an English-language version and a section that would enable Internet users to ask him questions.
