The chairman of the U-S Senate sub-committee on Africa is reaffirming his support for the International Tribunal on Rwanda. Senator Russ Feingold has just returned from a visit to the tribunal in Arusha, Tanzania where trials have been held in connection with the 1994 genocide.

He says the court?s legal precedents have had a major impact in establishing a culture of accountability in Africa and the rest of the world. In Washington, Senator Feingold spoke to Joe De Capua about the importance of the Rwanda tribunal.
