Serena Williams of the United States has defeated her older sister, Venus Williams, to win the Wimbledon Ladies' tennis title in England.

Serena won the first set in a tiebreaker, 7-6, but the second set was much easier with Serena winning 6-3. Venus was a two-time defending champion, but could not counter her little sister's game Saturday.

Serena will also take the number one spot from her older sister when the new rankings are issued Monday.

This was the third time the two women have met in a major tournament final. Serena beat Venus to win last month's French Open and Venus defeated Serena in last year's U.S. Open final.
