The New Jersey Nets will try to defend their home court advantage as they host the San Antonio Spurs in game three of the National Basketball Association finals on Sunday night. The best of seven series is tied at one win each, after San Antonio won the opening game 101-89, but lost 87-85 in game two. The first two games were played in San Antonio. Nets star guard Jason Kidd led the Nets with a 30 points on Friday night.

It was the kind of performance that has Kidd at the top of the list for many teams in the offseason, since the guard will be a free agent. San Antonio is considered one of those teams since the Spurs have the necessary salary cap room, but New Jersey's run to its second straight NBA Finals could make the Nets the front-runners.

San Antonio has played well on the road this post-season, fashioning a 6-3 road record in the Western Conference playoffs, and winning all three games in Dallas in the Western Conference finals. The Spurs are hoping for similar success in New Jersey. But to continue the trend, the Spurs must correct problems with turnovers and free throws. San Antonio committed 22 turnovers on Friday and shot just 56-percent at the foul line.
