The Coalition Provisional Authority in Iraq released photos of Saddam Hussein's dead sons, Uday and Qusay, on Thursday.

The pictures of Saddam's sons were released in to journalists in Baghdad for immediate broadcast and publication worldwide.

The pictures are extremely graphic. A large head injury is seen on Uday. Autopsy results expected by the end of the week will provide the conclusive explanation for the wound.

Beards and longer hair on both men change their appearance somewhat.

The Coalition Provisional Authority says the photos were released to prove to Iraqis that Saddam's sons are indeed dead. It says forensic evidence has already confirmed their deaths.
