The Washington, D.C. metro train system is usually crowded with tourists during the summer. But in addition to providing quick transportation around the D.C. area, some riders will receive free summer entertainment. MetroPerforms! is a musical program sponsored by the subway system and a local arts commission. It provides local singers, dancers, musicians and other performers with the opportunity to share their talent at metro stations throughout the city. VOA's Barry Unger attended a recent audition.
