Top-seeded Elena Dementieva rallied from 4-1 down in the third set to defeat number-three Elena Bovina 0-6, 6-0, 6-4 in an all-Russian final at the Gaz de France Stars tennis tournament in Hasselt, Belgium. Bovina dominated the opening set 6-love Sunday, before Dementieva turned the tables in the second set to tie the match. The third set was a roller coaster, with Bovina ahead 4-1 before Dementieva roared back with three straight breaks. It was Dementieva's first title in a year and the fourth of her career.

Former world number-one Kim Clijsters pulled out during her semifinal against Bovina on Saturday with pain in the same wrist which sidelined her for five months until this week. Doctors said Sunday there was no new tear in her left wrist tendon, but Clijsters' web site reported she would have to take time off to recover and would not play any more tournaments this year.
