While the U.S. Department of Energy's Argonne National Laboratory in suburban Chicago is best known for its contributions to nuclear energy development, it is also an incubator for technological innovation and discovery that, among other things, is leading to breakthroughs set to dramatically reshape environmental cleanup efforts.
