Pianist and composer Helen Sung talks with host Eric Felten about how she turned from classical music to jazz - a transition inspired by hearing Harry Connick, Jr. at the keyboard. She takes the stage at Washington's Blues Alley nightclub with band-mates Alex Pope Norris, Gary Thomas, Boris Kozlov and Rodney Green, to perform music from her new Concord Music Group release, "Anthem for a New Day."
