Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair overstated the threat posed by Saddam Hussein in the runup to the invasion of Iraq in 2003, according to an official British inquiry into the war. The report says the intelligence on the Iraqi president's weapons of mass destruction did not support taking military action, and it also questioned the legal basis of the conflict.
