We are introducing a new series today produced by VOA's English Division called "Did You Know?" We will be taking you on a tour of famous places in and around Washington, always adding some special bit of information that we're sure you haven't heard before. We start our tour at the memorial to U.S. civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., whose birthday is celebrated each year on the third Monday of January as a national holiday.
