Former U.S. secretary of state Hillary Clinton won a major victory Saturday over rival Bernie Sanders in the South Carolina primary, solidifying her status as the Democratic Party frontrunner. Clinton benefited from huge support from African-American voters, an advantage that could carry over into several of the upcoming Super Tuesday primaries on March 1.
