Demonstrations continued throughout the night in Hong Kong where hundreds of thousands protested Sunday against a controversial extradition bill that would allow suspected criminals to be sent to mainland China for trial. The changes would permit extradition requests from authorities in mainland China, Taiwan and Macau for suspects accused of criminal wrongdoing, such as rape and murder. Hong Kong officials say the law would not allow extradition of political and religious dissidents and that the local government would have a final say on who can be extradited. VOA's Zlatica Hoke has more.
