There has been an outpouring of bipartisan support for Republican Senator John McCain, after he was diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer. McCain is widely regarded as an American hero for his service in the Vietnam War and his five years as a prisoner of war, and for his 31 years as a U.S. Senator from Arizona.
