Pollster: US Political Contest Reflects Voters' Views of Government

With the U.S. presidential primary in its final months, one of the country's top pollsters told VOA's Jela De Franceschi that a dominant theme has emerged in how Americans view their government. Frank Newport, the editor-in-chief of Gallup, said record numbers of Americans are dissatisfied with Congress and the government in general, and candidates such as Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Bernie Sanders have seized on that sentiment.
