Leading Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump skipped his party's debate and staged his own rally a few miles away in Des Moines, Iowa, Thursday. The billionaire developer split off after a spat with FOX News, the host of the official debate, only four days before the first votes are cast in Iowa's first-in-the-nation caucuses. VOA's Carolyn Presutti explains what happened at both events.
