The US Navy says "aggressive Russian aircraft" – identified as SU-24s – made several close, low altitude passes near the destroyer USS Donald Cook on Monday and Tuesday as the ship sailed in international waters in the Baltic Sea. A Russian helicopter also circled the ship several times on Tuesday. The ships commander called some of the maneuvers "unsafe and unprofessional."
