There has long been a common belief that eating or drinking products that contain a lot of sugar will result in a quick burst of energy some call a "sugar-rush". A new study by English and German researchers suggests that the "sugar-rush" is just a myth and that sugar has no effect on your mood. In fact, the researchers found that a good dose of sugar may have the opposite effect. They found that sugar increases tiredness and decreases alertness within an hour after consumption.
