A new study, published in the journal Science, suggests that females in a species of the jumping spider produce milk and nurse their young, much like mammals. The study goes on to suggest that the jumping spider mother cares for and nurses her spiderlings into young adulthood, even after they have already learned to find food and feed themselves.
