The US House of Representatives returns to work on Capitol Hill after a tumultuous week caused by President Donald Trump's firing of FBI director James Comey Tuesday. The resulting political firestorm set off renewed calls by Democratic lawmakers urging their Republican colleagues to fund and create an independent investigation.
