In Nigeria, the most populous African country, saving lives often means protecting people from unsafe food. Young Nigerian Balarabe Ismail, a 2016 Mandela Washington Fellow, wants to improve the lives of his countrymen and fellow Africans by making sure the food they eat is safe and healthy.
