U.S. President Donald Trump's decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel has met with criticism in the Arab world as well as in Europe and elsewhere. In a speech Wednesday, Trump described the move as a "long overdue step" after his predecessors failed to abide by the 22-year-old U.S. pledge to Israel.
