There are fewer than 2,000 wild pandas in the world. However, as VOA's David Byrd reports, a new documentary opening in IMAX theaters in the U.S. April 6 tells how scientists are working to introduce captive-bred panda cubs into the wild.
Thousands of fans gathered in Washington for the city's comic convention, called Awesome Con. During the three-day event, they meet their favorite artists and actors, have their comic books autographed, and do a little shopping. Many also dress up in costume.
