Plants make their leaves, roots and branches out of carbon dioxide they remove from the atmosphere. Now, researchers have invented a way to turn carbon dioxide into useful building blocks, and their experimental system does it more efficiently than plants do. They say it could someday help fight climate change. VOA's Steve Baragona has more.
More than 46 million people around the world live with dementia according to Alzheimer's International. That number is expected to rise as the world population ages. In Australia, one community is working with its residents to help keep those suffering from the disease safe and comfortable. VOA's Kevin Enochs reports.
