U.S. President Donald Trump has questioned whether peace talks between the Israelis and Palestinians will ever resume. The head of the British Army has given a blunt warning that government spending cuts are undermining the country’s ability to match its adversaries on the battlefield. General Nick Carter said conflicts in Ukraine and Syria have given Russian forces battlefield experience, as cutbacks in Britain have left the nation with outdated equipment.
