Officials from China and several Caribbean countries will gather in Jamaica early next year for talks on improving trade.
The four-day forum and trade fair will open February second in the Jamaican capital, Kingston.Talks are also expected to focus on investment opportunities in tourism, agriculture, human resources and other areas.
China and Taiwan have long battled to win diplomatic recognition from Caribbean countries. Both Beijing and Taipei have accused each other of using economic aid to win diplomatic recognition.
