Israeli military officials and Palestinian sources say Israeli troops killed a Palestinian militant early Sunday during a gunbattle in the West Bank city of Jenin.
Israelis say another militant was wounded and at least four others arrested during the clash.
Israeli forces have been in the Jenin area since Wednesday, conducting searches for wanted militants.
