Costa Rican officials say a U.S. tourist has been rescued from the Pacific Ocean where he had floated for hours after a plane crash.
Authorities say the man was picked up Wednesday more than a kilometer from coast. They say he jumped from the plane before it crashed into the sea. The man was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Officials say the man was among four U.S. passengers, a Mexican, and a Costa Rican pilot in a single-engine skydiving plane that went missing Tuesday.
Authorities are still searching for the aircraft and its other passengers.
