Mexico's Popocatepetl Volcano Erupts

An eruption at Mexico's Popocatepetl Volcano has sent a cloud of ash more than two kilometers into the sky.

In a bulletin issued Saturday, the Mexican National Disaster Warning Center said northwesterly winds might spread some ash to surrounding regions.

Located southeast of Mexico City, the 5.4-kilometer-high volcano has erupted for two days in a row.

A security zone with a 12-kilometer radius is in place around the volcano's crater.
