Palestinian witnesses say an Israeli airstrike on a car in the Gaza Strip has killed two Palestinians and wounded at least two others. The Associated Press says a top Islamic Jihad militant was killed in the attack.
Sunday's strike is the latest in a series of attacks and reprisals that have included Palestinian rocket attacks into Israel and Israeli airstrikes in Gaza.
Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon has given the military the go-ahead to use any force necessary to strike militants and their hardware.
Earlier today, Palestinians said 20 people, including children, were wounded when Israeli fighter planes hit a Hamas-run school in Gaza. Israel called the building a weapons-storage facility.
Israeli forces also arrested 200 suspected militants in the West Bank.
