Violence Erupts in Demonstration Against Neo-Nazi March in US

update

Police say at least 60 people were arrested when a protest against a neo-Nazi march turned violent Saturday in the midwestern U.S. state of Ohio.

Authorities say a crowd gathered in the city of Toledo to protest a planned march by a white supremacist group.

Officials cancelled the march before it began, when the angry counter-protesters pelted police officers with rocks, vandalized cars and set a business on fire.

Confrontations between rioters and police officers lasted for several hours.

Toledo Mayor Jack Ford blamed the rioting on gang members who took advantage of an already tense situation.
