The answers will soon be clearer to the fast-food giant's customers because McDonald's is putting nutritional information right on the wrappers.
Previously, nutritional data was available on a web site or in brochures.
McDonald's is the world's largest restaurant chain with more than 31,000 restaurants worldwide, which serve 48 million customers every day.
Critics say the company's high-fat products play a role in the growing rate of obesity in the United States and around the world.
Company officials said Tuesday the new labels will debut next February at the Winter Olympics in Italy, and be available in a majority of restaurants by the end of 2006.
