Golf: Woods, Mickelson Share Lead at Ford Championship

update

World number one golfer Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson share the lead with two other players at the beginning of Saturday's third round of the Ford Championship in Miami, Florida.

Woods scored a 5-under-par, 67, and Mickelson birdied two of the last three holes to card a 66 in Friday's second round to tie at 13-under, 131. The two American stars are paired in the final group today. Woods and Mickelson battled for the title in last year's final round, with Woods winning on a birdie putt on the 17th hole.

American Scott Verplank fired a 7-under, 65, and Colombia's Camilo Villegas shot a 66 Friday to round out the quartet at the top of the leaderboard midway through the event on Doral's Blue Monster course.

Three Americans - Rich Beem, David Toms and Mark Wilson - are tied in fifth place, one shot off the lead.
