The woman accusing South Africa's former deputy president of rape says she was not pressured into filing charges.
The first week of testimony in the Jacob Zuma trial wound down Friday, with the woman saying "no person nor force" influenced her to press charges against the politician.
Zuma's supporters say the charges are part of a greater conspiracy. The 63-year-old Zuma was seen as the front-runner to succeed President Thabo Mbeki until Mbeki fired him last year because of a corruption scandal.
His accuser says he raped her last November in a guest bedroom at his home. The woman's mother has also testified, saying Zuma - a longtime family friend - apologized for the alleged attack and offered compensation.
Zuma has pleaded innocent to the charges. He says he did have sexual intercourse with the woman, but he insists it was consensual.
