American pop singer Britney Spears has left a rehabilitation facility, less than 24 hours after checking in.
Entertainment media say the 25-year-old singer left the center early Wednesday. Spears' spokesman Larry Rudolph said the pop star checked into the facility Tuesday at the urging of family members.
Spears, the mother of two young sons, had checked out of a rehabilitation facility on the Caribbean island of Antigua last week.
On Friday, the pop star and former child star grabbed an electric razor and shaved off her own hair at a salon in California, making headlines around the world.
Later, she was photographed getting a tattoo and then heading into a Hollywood nightclub wearing a blond wig.
The hair salon has set up a Web site (buybritneyshair.com) to auction the pop star's hair for a minimum offer of $1 million. The site says the successful bidder will get Spears' hair, the hair clipper used to cut it off and the can of the non-alchoholic beverage (Red Bull) she was drinking at the time.
It says a portion of the proceeds will be donated to charity.
Last November, Spears filed for divorce from her husband of two years, Kevin Federline. She married Federline, a performer also known as K-Fed, in 2004. They have two children.
Since her divorce, Spears has attracted international media attention while partying with celebrity heiress Paris Hilton.
