80s Rock Band Quiet Riot Lead Singer Found Dead

update

The lead singer for the 1980s rock band Quiet Riot was found dead of unknown causes at his home in Las Vegas, Nevada.

A spokeswoman for the Clark County Coroner's Office said Kevin DuBrow was found dead at about 5:20 p.m. on November 25. She said an autopsy would be conducted to determine the cause of death.

Posting on his Web site, DuBrow's bandmate Frankie Banali wrote "I can't even find the words to say. Please respect my privacy as I mourn the passing and honor the memory of my dearest friend, Kevin DuBrow."

Founded in 1973, Quiet Riot topped the Billboard charts in 1983 with the album Metal Health*. It featured the massive hit single "Cum on Feel the Noize." The band subsequently went through break-ups and personnel changes, but released a new album in 2006 and toured sporadically.
