An estimated 25 to 30 million people worldwide have a condition called Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD).
It develops when cholesterol or scar tissue builds up and restricts the flow of blood through the arteries. It often goes undiagnosed.
PAD frequently leads to pain or weakness in the legs and feet. A recent study shows that simple exercise such as walking and leg strengthening can help relieve the symptoms.
