Dateline: Amelia Earhart


Sixty-nine years ago this past Friday, Amelia Earhart became the first woman to fly non-stop across the United States.

Five years after her record cross-country flight, Amelia Earhart vanished over the Pacific Ocean while attempting to fly around the world. Her disappearance has fascinated researchers for decades.
