Robbins, Park Lead Williams Golf Championship - 2001-09-08

Local favorite Kelly Robbins and South Korean Gloria Park are tied for the lead after the first round of the inaugural Williams Golf Championship in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Robbins and Park cut through gusty winds that reached 50 kilometers per hour to score two-under-par 68s.

Tied for second, one shot back, are Americans Susie Redman and Rachel Teske. Only four golfers finished under par Friday.

Some of the better known players on the ladies' tour had trouble with the winds, including Annika Sorenstam and Betsy King with 72s, and Karrie Webb with a round of 74.
