Final Winter Olympics Medal Standings - 2002-02-24


Germany has finished the Salt Lake City games with the most gold medals won at the Winter Olympics. The Germans have 12 gold medals, to go along with 16 silver and seven bronze for a total of 35, more than any other nation.

Norway had 11 gold medals. Norway's total of 24 includes seven silver and six bronze.

Overall, the host United States had 34 medals, 19 more than the previous U.S. best at a winter games. The United States had 10 gold, 13 silver and 11 bronze.
